'Teen Mom' star allegedly hit, choked by mother
One of the stars of MTV's reality hit "Teen Mom" was allegedly choked and hit by her mother, Us magazine reports.
Farrah Abraham, 18, was involved in a heated argument with her mother, Debra Danielson, who was arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse/serious assault, according to police reports obtained by Iowa's Daily Nonpareil.
The pair fought in their Council Bluffs, Iowa, home about "child care issues and other problems," the newspaper reported. This led to Danielson, 54, throwing a shirt at her daughter; the clothing item landed near Abraham's infant daughter Sophia, who began crying.
"The victim was yelling at Danielson over the shirt throwing and Danielson grabbed her by the throat. The victim pushed Danielson's hand away from her. Victim stated the Danielson then hit her along the side of her head and hit her in the mouth," according to the police report, as cited by Radar Online.
The report notes that the responding officer observed "multiple cuts" on Abraham's lips. Danielson was arrested on charges of domestic abuse serious assault and later released on her own recognizance, Radar reports.
Abraham is one of four teen moms profiled on the series.
