'Terriers' canceled
FX's freshman dramady "Terriers" has put to rest. As in permanent rest. Surprise? Not. The show largely got phenomenal critical love but viewers - as is there wont - didn't go along with the critical herd. Ratings were dreadful - and while last week's finale went above the season average, clearly not enough to turn FX's head. John Landgraf, FX chief, will hold a press conference - or rather teleconference - to explain the axing, but the long and short of this decision: Ratings. Nevertheless, FX had high hopes for this one - and so did the talented lead, Donal Logue, who is still looking for a breakout TV hit.
