Last week's jive was unkind to Bristol Palin or - perhaps another way of looking at it - she was unkind to the jive.

That was not her dance, and not her week (although the gorilla suit was a nice, albeit unintentional, early Halloween touch). Still, "Dancing With the Stars" voters hung on tight to her, and she returned for more fun.

Tonight? She and Mark Ballas dance the tango and rock and roll, and I'm of the mind that, even if she trips over her feet and lands in Len Goodman's lap, she'll survive tomorrow night. Reason: Voters keep bringing her back.

So today, I hedge my bets: If Kyle Massey bobbles tonight's twofer (also tango and rock and roll), he's in trouble. But if Bristol fails to keep it together and falls to the bottom of the voter pile for the second week in a row, then her voter lifeline will finally be cut.

This one could go either way, but so far, she's proven resilient on the floor.
