Trump TV debate: Probably dead
This development overnight on the Trump debate circus, scheduled for Dec. 27: Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry have pulled out.
OK, now hold up your right or left hand. Good. Now, extend two figures. Good.
And that's how many people have agreed to attend this debate.
They are front-runner Newt Gingrich and back-runner Rick Santorum.
Just two candidates. Two. Santorum hasn't got a chance, even remotely a chance, so this means that this is really just a one-person debate. That means that Trump will ask questions, and Gingrich will answer them and, to make this a contest, then respond to himself by disagreeing with his first answer.
It will be interesting. And crazy.
I expect that the plug will be pulled on this ridiculous idea by the end of the day. (Sponsor Newsmax ION Television didn't exactly think this through, did they?)
