'The X Factor,' second season

I suppose this puts to rest any and all suggestions that "The X Factor" was a disappointment to Fox: It just got a second season.
Here's Fox reality chief Mike Darnell's hilariously understated, ahem, statement concerning the renewal:
“ 'The X Factor' is a monumental success,” said Darnell. “It’s won every night it’s been on the air, the talent is phenomenal, the live shows are spectacular and picking it up is a complete no-brainer. Simon and his team have done an incredible job with the show, and I’m absolutely thrilled to bring back 'The X Factor' for another fantastic season.”
So there, nattering nabobs of "X Factor" naysaying.
