Tim Urban got a second chance on “Idol” when he was put in the semifinals after last week’s Chris Golightly fiasco. Now, the question is why, especially after Tim’s sorry performance of One Republic’s “Apologize” last night. He was off-key for most of it and never even came close to hitting those high notes.

Simon said “We made the right decision the first time. The vocals were weak, you’re not a natural performer and I don’t think your voice is good enough.” Kara thought the music devoured him and he was “buried by the beat.” His only slight words of encouragement came from Ellen who said “You’re adorable and that might get girls to vote for you.”
