Tom Hanks joined two other familiar faces over the weekend during cameo appearances on "Saturday Night Live."

The show, hosted by hip-hop star Jack Harlow, who also served as musical guest, boasted a Halloween theme, with several comedy sketches involving costumes and a haunted attraction ride.

Hanks appeared during the first half of the show as himself in a sketch about an idea for a Pixar movie starring talking suitcases.

"Who's gonna play the main suitcase?" says Bowen Yang's character. "Our Everyman? Our Woody?"

Enter Oscar winner Hanks, who introduces himself as "Tom H." and successfully auditions for the proposed Pixar suitcase role. (Hanks has played outdated pull-string toy Sheriff Woody Pride in Disney Pixar's "Toy Story" film franchise.)

Later on in "SNL," Harlow and cast members Ego Nwodim and Andrew Dismukes go on a Halloween-themed ride where they encounter Hanks as David S. Pumpkins. Harlow, Nwodim and Dismukes are startled by the comedic Pumpkins' inclusion into the otherwise scary ride involving characters from various horror movies.

Mikey Day and former "SNL" star Bobby Moynihan (joining Hanks' cameo) reprise their roles as Pumpkins' skeleton sidekicks. (Moynihan also appeared on "Weekend Update," reprising his character, Drunk Uncle.)

Hanks, in his curly wig and pumpkin-covered suit, introduces himself as Halloween-adjacent David S. Pumpkins, befuddling the riders about his place in a lineup of villains in recent horror flicks. As Harlow, Nwodim and Dismukes try to figure out to which film franchise Pumpkins and his skeletons belong, the trio learns Pumpkins is originally from Ibiza, Spain. "Preguntas?" says Hanks, a bilingual play on Pumpkins' "Any Questions?" catchphrase.

"Survivor" host Jeff Probst also surprised "SNL" audiences in an early sketch where the groom's best man (Dismukes) dresses up as the Joker for a wedding on Oct. 31.

"The Tribe has spoken," utters Probst, who extinguishes the bride's torch and tells Dismukes' character, Clint, that he gets to stay in the wedding dressed as the supervillain.
