'True Beauty' is not Erika

Admittedly "True Beauty" is not "American Idol" but it did have an interesting wrinkle - and I'm sure she would hate that I employed that word - this season.
Her name is/was Erika Othen, who is a nice kid from Wading River, works at a Carle Place club called Sugar, and had a real chance to become the winner.
Instead, title of "true beauty" goes to Taylor Bills - a guy! I kid you not! - who was a former minor league pitcher with the Mariners' organization and last night won $100,000 and title of whatever (I think most beautiful face of Las Vegas; he also gets a picture in People magazine.)
Good for Taylor. Too bad for Erika. And so spins the world of reality TV.
