Content Both the beginning and the end of Telly Savalas' lollipop-licking NYPD detective appear in this set of eight TV movies so authentic they practically smell like New York. It starts with the stunning 1973 arrival of Kojack (yes, originally spelled that way!) in Abby Mann's fact-based TV movie smash "The Marcus-Nelson Murders," and runs through Savalas' post-series flicks (1985-90).
Extras Wonderfully affectionate half-hour retrospective digs into the show's real-life roots, Savalas' talents and NYC location filming, with fresh interviews (Angie Dickinson, Kevin Dobson, Roger Robinson, Telly's kids, other cast and crew).
