Retro rocker Tyler Grady seemed mired in the ‘70s with “American Woman.” Even wth his Jim Morrison hair, Tyler didn’t light any fires with his performance. He moved awakwardly on the stage and seemed unable to hit high, low or in-between notes.

Simon said “on the positive side people are going to remember that performance.” The bad part—people are going to remember that performance, which he said was something out of “pretend to be a rock star school.”

Kara and Randy both thought Tyler needed to get out of the ‘70s and adapt himself for the 21st century. Ellen felt he had the posing of Morrison down, but he lacked the charisma.
