'Unassuming' Ethan Jones goes sincere on 'American Idol'

Fresh-faced Ethan Jones, who says he dropped out of school and was in a band with his dad -- who's now in rehab -- is doing Edwin McCain's "I'll Be" next on "American Idol."

The 22-year-old from Illinois has got a strong tone, not too sappy. He just comes straight from the heart. "I like the whole unassuming thing," says Randy Jackson. Yeah, he looks like he could be slick, but actually came out sincere. 

I'm very curious to see what kind of artist he becomes. He's in a country band but he says his heart is in soul. He gets through easily, of course.
