History's "Vikings" (debuting at 10 p.m. Friday), a nine-part scripted series, promises lots of thrills, action, blood, lust and more blood. Here are five other Viking sightings on TV over the years:

"Tales of the Vikings" A 1960 syndicated TV drama from Kirk Douglas' production company that used sets, costumes and ships left over from his 1958 movie, "The Vikings."

"Viking Quest" A fictional sci-fi TV show that was spotlighted on the HBO series "Entourage." "VQ" was a cult show that aired in the late 1990s and starred Johnny "Drama" Chase (Kevin Dillon), marking his high-water mark as an actor.

"Eric Northman" The "True Blood" vampire (played by Alexander Skarsgård) is 1,000 years old and was once a mighty Viking warrior.

"The Del-Vikings" The 1950s doo-wop group known for their hits "Whispering Bells" and "Come Go With Me" appeared several times on "American Bandstand."

"Monty Python's Flying Circus" One of the comedy troupe's most memorable sketches, "Spam," featured a group of Vikings in a restaurant interrupting conversation by singing "Spam, lovely Spam, wonderful Spam... "
