Daytime talk-show host Wendy Williams, who has been on hiatus since Dec. 20 after fracturing her shoulder, is delaying her planned return by a week.
After first planning to be back Jan. 7 and then Jan. 14, Williams, 54, is now scheduled for Jan. 21. "As she has for the past 10 years, Wendy delivers an incomparable live talk show day in and day out and we want to give her the best opportunity to heal and recover," Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, co-presidents of her show's production and distribution company Debmar-Mercury, said in a statement Wednesday. "Wendy has our complete and unwavering support and we look forward to her return to the iconic purple chair."
Variety said a panel of guest hosts would fill in starting Monday.
