Will 'Revenge' be sweet for ABC this fall?

REVENGE - Wealth, beauty and status define the people in this town, but one woman is willing to destroy everyone for the sake of revenge. "Revenge" stars Madeleine Stowe ("We Were Soldiers," "The Last of the Mohicans") as Victoria Grayson, Emily Van Camp ("Brothers & Sisters," "Everwood") as Emily Thorne, Gabriel Mann ("The Bourne Identity") as Nolan Ross, Henry Czerny ("Mission: Impossible," "Clear and Present Danger") as Conrad Grayson, Ashley Madekwe ("Secret Diary of a Call Girl") as Ashley Davenport, Nick Wechsler ("Roswell") as Jack Porter, Josh Bowman ("Prowl") as Daniel Grayson, Christa B. Allen ("13 Going on 30") as Charlotte Grayson and Connor Paolo ("Gossip Girl") as Declan Porter. Credit: ABC Photo/
The Hamptons get a starring role on ABC this fall.
So do magic, nostalgia and a distinct '60s-'70s aura, the network announced Tuesday.
And Tim Allen will return to the network for the first time in 12 years in a sitcom that sight-unseen is the buzziest newcomer on any fall schedule.
The Hamptons have held considerable allure for TV for years (most recently, USA's "Royal Pains"). "Revenge," a Wednesday 10 p.m. drama starring Madeleine Stowe and Emily Van Camp, is about a mysterious young woman who returns to her tony old neighborhood to wreak havoc on those who destroyed her family. Think Wisteria Lane Meets Further Lane. The pilot, by the way, was shot in Wilmington, N.C., although ABC is still deciding where to shoot the series.
Now, to the rest of the lineup:
MONDAY "Dancing With the Stars" (8 p.m.); "Castle"(10).
TUESDAY "Last Man Standing" (8), starring Allen as a guy who sounds suspiciously like Tim Taylor ("Home Improvement"). Mike Baxter is a man's man, but at home he is (guesses?) dominated by women, including his wife, Vanessa (Nancy Travis), and their three daughters; "Man Up" (8:30), about three modern guys trying to be real men; "DWTS" results show (9); "Body of Proof" (10).
WEDNESDAY "The Middle" (8); "Suburgatory" (8:30), about single dad George (Jeremy Sisto) who moves with his 16-year-old daughter Tessa (Jane Levy) from the city to the 'burbs; "Modern Family" (9); "Happy Endings" (9:30); "Revenge" (10)
THURSDAY "Charlie's Angels" (8), a remake of the ''70s classic, although this time set in Miami, about three babelicious crime solvers, starring Rachael Taylor as Abby, Annie Ilonzeh as Kate and Minka Kelly as Eve; "Grey's Anatomy" (9); "Private Practice" (10).
FRIDAY "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (8); "Shark Tank" (9); "20/20" (10).
SATURDAY College football
SUNDAY "America's Funniest Home Videos" (7); "Once Upon a Time" (8), about a boy who believes in an alternate magical world; "Desperate Housewives" (9); "Pan Am," (10) about the high-flyin' glamorous life of '60s air travel, and the stewardesses and "flyboys" of Pan Am who live it, with Christina Ricci and Kelli Garner.
