'Wall Street' then and now: 1987 vs. 2010
"Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" takes its title from a scene in the original movie. Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) walks along the beach at dawn and calls Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen). Gekko tells Fox, "Money never sleeps, pal. I just made $800,000 in Hong Kong gold. It's been wired to you. Play with it."
The cell phone in Gekko's hand takes up nearly the entire screen. Not exactly the flip phones of today. And with that, we look at just how much life has changed from 1987 until now.
