The latest pet video to capture our collective attention finds a house cat intervening in a dog attack.
The cat, named Tara, according to Bakersfield, Calif., ABC affiliate KERO, was captured on surveillance video Tuesday chasing off a neighborhood dog that had bitten Jeremy, the young boy Tara lives with.
Erica Triantafilo, Jeremy's mother, told the television station that her 4-year-old son did need stiches but is doing well.
"I didn't really even realize what had happened until after when my husband showed me the surveillance video," Triantafilo said.
"Tara is my hero," Jeremy said in a interview with KERO.
