Road trip! It's time for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s annual two-day plant sale.

The huge event kicked off at 9 this morning under a tent in the garden's cherry esplanade and will run until 8 p.m., so those of us who have to work for a living can still make it. Tomorrow, it runs from 9 a.m. until noon.

When I said "huge," I wasn't exaggerating: More than 20,000 plants will be for sale, including lots of herbs, perennials, houseplants, peonies ... You get the point.
