The Long Island Small Farm Summit, which brings local agriculture experts together for a day of workshops and discussions geared toward backyard gardeners and local farmers, will be held at SUNY Old Westbury from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

There will be sessions on starting an organic vegetable garden, raising chickens, beekeeping and community-supported food programs.
