DISNEY MAGIC TO SAIL FROM NYC

Disney announced its ship Disney Magic, will make 20 sailings from New York City in 2012.

Beginning May 25 of next year, cruisers can choose from eight-night sailings to the Bahamas (from $1,240 a person) and five-night sailings up the coast of New England (from $715 a person).

In another first, the ship will make three two-night weekend cruises to nowhere June 15, July 13 and Aug. 10 that will give families a taste of life at sea (from $370 a person). Call 888-325-2500 or visit disneycruise.com.

$25 SECOND NIGHT DEAL AT DANFORDS

Stay-cationers who can steal away for a couple of weekdays between May 9 and 12 should know that Danford's Hotel & Marina in Port Jefferson is offering a buy one night, get a second night for $25 deal that week in honor of the property's 25th anniversary. Weekday rates during this time start at $129 for queen or king rooms with village views.

While you're there, take advantage of the hotel's on-site restaurant and lounge, WAVE, which will be offering an anniversary menu with two dinner entrees for $25 May 9-15. Its spa will also be giving select treatments such as pedicures and men's haircuts for $25 as part of the anniversary celebration.
