Thrill seekers will have two new rides to try when Adventureland in East Farmingdale launches its 65th anniversary celebration in 2027

The two new family-friendly rides are the Tigers Den Roller Coaster, featuring 300 feet of track and a maximum speed of 16 mph, and the Flying Tigers, two-seat mini fighter planes styled after the World War II-era Curtiss P-40 Warhawks.

"New additions to the park represent our ongoing commitment to creating memorable experiences for guests of all ages while continuing to invest in the future of Long Island’s favorite family amusement park," Jeanine Pacella, a manager at Adventureland, said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming families back to the park in 2027 to celebrate this special milestone with us."

Opened in 1962, the park had only had a handful of rides at the time, including a train, Newsday has previously reported.

Adventureland has continued to grow over the decades and now hosts dozens of rides and attractions, including the Wave Twister and the Frisbee, according to its website. The amusement park is also working to finish its Legacy Corner portion after a renovation aimed at adding attractions and food there, the park said.

But even with the recent additions, the park said at least one ride is heading into retirement: the Antique Cars, which has gone through several iterations since 1965.
