American Girl’s 2019 Girl of the Year doll is from New York and, like many kids, she struggles to limit her screen time.
The doll, named Blaire Wilson, lives on her family’s farm upstate. She makes real-world connections through creating new dishes for the family’s bed-and-breakfast restaurant and decorating for the farm’s first wedding event.
Blaire launches with an 18-inch doll with green eyes and curly red hair, along with a two-book series that tells her story, including her recently diagnosed food sensitivity. American Girl also offers a product line that reflects Blaire’s life on Pleasant View Farm, including an open-air restaurant.
Girls can visit play.americangirl.com/play/girl-of-the-year/blaire for book excerpts, games and activities, and Blaire’s Life at Pleasant View Farm Vlog posts, featuring recipes, gardening tips, cooking and craft videos, and more. Families can also attend a Blaire-inspired dinner at select American Girl retail restaurants across the country in 2019, including New York; parents can visit americangirl.com/stores to learn more or make a reservation.
Blair sells for $115 for the doll and one book. The second book is $7.99. The Blaire collection is available now at americangirl.com.
