Do you like arcade games and amusement parks? @Play Amusement is the perfect combination of both.
It has tons of fun for everyone. There are bumper cars that light up and play music, a carousel for your younger siblings, arcade games for all you video game geeks, laser tag for you athletes, and so much more. They have a toddler playroom, so your younger siblings don’t bother you. In the playroom, there is a rocking boat (which we really enjoyed), a tiny slide, a spinning palm tree and building blocks.
For older kids and adults, they have laser tag. You have to be 5 or older to play. When we went, there was no one else playing. The woman who worked there told us that if we wanted to play with more people, we had to ask strangers. We didn’t want to do that, so we just played against each other. Laser tag was really fun and exciting, but it probably would have been more fun with more people.
They have party rooms. Each room is decorated with huge stickers that have party hats on them and others that say “Happy Birthday!” We think it would be really fun to have one of our birthday parties there.
You can eat at the food court after having tons of fun. There is a Nathan’s (how could you not love a good ol’ hot dog?) and a place called Shah’s Halal Food that has food a lot of people probably haven’t tried. They have a lot of meat and vegetables.
If you like fun and games, then you should go to @Play. It’s at 229 Broadhollow Rd., Farmingdale, 631-815-5355; on the web, atplayamusement.com
