Baby's First Christmas event at Babies R Us
Babies R Us stores are hosting “Baby's First Christmas” in-store events, kicking off this weekend.
On select Saturdays in November, from 10 to 11 a.m., Babies R Us stores welcome new parents and their babies to take part in adorable activities, including playful storytime, photo opportunities and make-and-take ornaments. Parents will receive the all-new Baby's First Christmas Gift Guide, which features a curated assortment of items sorted by a baby's age range and developmental stage.
Additionally, participants who attend the one-hour events will also have the opportunity to enjoy giveaways and win raffle prizes from top baby product manufacturers, while meeting other moms and dads in their local area.
Babies R Us created an age-specific outline for when families can attend. If parents are unable to attend the event dedicated to their baby's birth month, they're welcome to join another event date that works best for them. This past Saturday, babies born in December 2013; January, February and March 2014 were invited to attend. If you missed this even, feel free to attend on one of the other dates. Saturday, No. 15: Babies born in April, May, June and July 2014 and Saturday, Nov. 22: Babies born in August, September, October and November 2014.
Parents are also welcome to join in on the “Baby's First Christmas” Twitter Party on Nov. 11, at 9 p.m. There will be a chat led by @CoolMomPicks, using the hashtag #FirstHoliday. Participants can ask questions, receive expert advice and share their own insights and tips for the holidays.
To get shoppers into the spirit of the season, Babies R Us has launched a “Baby's First Christmas” Sweepstakes, which customers can enter now through Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 11:59 p.m. EST. One grand prize winner will receive a $2,500 Babies R Us gift card, while the other prizes include a year's worth of baby food from Gerber and a year's supply of diapers from Huggies.
