Beach Bakery Grand Cafe, on Main Street in Westhampton Beach, is a year-round delicious bakery. If you live around here, it is the place to go.

In the summer it is open from 6 a.m. until 2 the following morning. Through the rest of the year, it is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Different from other businesses, the delicious, charming and now spacious bakery, after its renovation in 2011, has live music, wine and beer, beautiful designs, seating inside and out, and a luncheonette (not including the main bakery).

The owner, Simon Jorna, has been baking from age 4. The place could always use an extra hand: There are about 200 customers entering the bakery each day and on good days there are about 2,500 customers.

The bakery has been thriving for 24 years. Simon’s business is more successful in summer than other seasons. He saves up all his profit while the cold is passing to make the bakery more comfortable and cheerful for his customers. As he said, “I make all my money in the summer and in winter I try to break even.”

The bakery has its top-selling pastry, Raspberry Filled Fried Croissant, and the luncheonette has its classic Fish and Chips. The cookies, cakes and tarts are decorated to match each season.

I recommend this bakery for all occasions, including parties and brunches.
