Being pen pals with the elderly is rewarding

The Arbors Assisted Living Pen Pals is a program where we write letters back and forth to the elderly. We think of questions to ask them. Our class started this program with the charity and foundation called Rees Specht Life, which is about cultivating kindness.

Writing nice letters to the elderly can make their day. We love hearing from them and we think they like us writing to them as well. So that's why we started this program at Jericho Elementary School. And just remember to pay it forward.
