We both read the book “Mutant Mantis Lunch Ladies” by Bruce Hale (Disney Hyperion).

The book is mostly about two boys named Carlos and Benny. They would stay after school to investigate their lunch ladies. They would have little adventures investigating and would discover weird things. One afternoon they stay at school and discover that their lunch ladies are not human — they’re mutant mantises.

Benny and Carlos tell their classmates and the school that their lunch ladies are not human, but no one believes them. So they have to work as a team to get evidence to show that their lunch ladies are mutant mantises.

We recommend this book for kids who like mysteries and what they may discover. Rating: 4.5 smiles
