Bridgehampton has a senior center where elders can spend time together and do fun activities. It is open from 8 a.m. from 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Every day at the senior center, there is always a different activity planned. They have a calendar on their website that has all the activities each day for each month. Activities include computer class, movies and baking. The center also hosts field trips like going mini golfing at the Southampton Driving Range or going to baseball games.

When we went to the senior center in fifth grade, we sat down with the seniors to chat, play games and have lunch. We noticed that they were very happy there. They would always smile at each other and laugh while listening or telling stories. It seemed that they enjoyed being with their friends and doing the fun activities.

Elders go to the senior centers for different reasons, such as nutritional advice or programs, volunteer opportunities, fitness programs and social activities. Some older people who live alone can feel isolated, but the staff helps to provide many opportunities to do different activities with companions.

Overall, the senior center in Bridgehampton is a place elders can go to increase their levels of happiness. Going to the senior center gives elders the opportunity to meet new people and have new experiences. It helps them feel better mentally and physically.
