You know you're bored when you're taking your bunny for a walk. I started walking my bunnies last October, when I got them for my birthday. We got two bunnies. My brother's is Marshmallow, M&M for short, and mine is Thumper. After I got them, I opened up the other presents I got and saw two leashes, two collars and four outfits for Thumper and M&M. At first I thought, "Why do I have all of these accessories for my bunnies?"

After the party I searched online if people actually dressed up their bunnies, and surprisingly it was common. The first time I walked my bunnies, they did not like it at all. They did not want to walk, and they were extremely scared and very shy. Most of the time they would vibrate and then lie down. Then I walked them again, and they got used to it. They finally started walking, and every once in a while they would hop or even run. That was when we walked them the first time on Fire Island.

The first time I walked my bunny a long distance was from Field 5 to Saltaire. My bunny was only 3 months old and was very shy and scared most of the time. The adults that were there, other than my parents, were scaring Thumper. They were trying to pet her, and she had no idea who they were and neither did I. To add to our stress, the little 3-year-olds were trying to pull her ears.

I have also walked my bunny from Saltaire to Kismet to Fair Harbor all the way back to my house in Saltaire. I have taken my bunnies on my boat on an extremely windy and wavy day. I don't think they ever want to go on a boat again, and I can't blame them. I am planning to take them so many other places that allow bunnies.

Bunny walking may seem like an odd idea at first, but with a little practice, it can be lots of fun.
