Are you ready for a fun-filled, family-friendly weekend at one of the top resorts in Pennsylvania? Camelback Mountain Resort is the place to be. We went last year and had the very best time! With winter break coming up, you should visit this place.

It is geared toward families with kids age 5 and older. Camelback offers skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing as well as a water park. You can stay in luxury accommodations and enjoy a weekend of fun! It’s in Tannersville, Pennsylvania, which is about a two-hour drive from Long Island.

We recommend going in the winter because you can enjoy the winter activities and have fun in the indoor water park. In the winter you can go skiing and snowboarding. Even if you have never skied or done snowboarding, this is the place to learn. Some nights there is snow tubing. When you go snow tubing, they play music and flash lights on the hills.

In the water park, there is this awesome ride, The Venus Slydetrap, a play on the name of the Venus flytrap plant. Three or more people sit in a round raft and then get pushed down a slide. At first, it’s like you’re going down a normal tube. Then you have a big drop. It’s so fun! You drop into the Slydetrap’s mouth. While you are in its mouth, you swing back and forth. There is also another ride that is almost like you are surfing. First you go on a hard piece of a foam board, then the employees give you a push-off. We usually fly right off, but it’s still fun!
