Chelsea Clinton will talk about her new hardcover children’s book, “She Persisted” (Penguin Young Readers Group, $17.99), about 13 American women who helped shape the country, at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Symphony Space in Manhattan.
“She Persisted” shares the stories of Harriet Tubman, Nellie Bly, Maria Tallchief, Oprah Winfrey and others. It’s geared to ages 4 to 8.
Clinton will be interviewed on stage, and actors including Alexis Bledel (“Gilmore Girls”) and Jessica Pimentel (“Orange Is the New Black”) will read from the book.
Books will be for sale at the show, but Clinton won’t be signing or posing for photographs. Tickets are $20 per person for the approximately 75-minute program.
Symphony Space is at Broadway and 95th Street. For more information or tickets, call 212-864-5400 or visit symphonyspace.org.
