At Dough Me a Flavor in Wantagh, you can make your own doughnuts

Have you ever wanted to make your own doughnut? Or have you ever wanted an unusual doughnut that you can’t find anywhere? We have just the place for you: Dough Me a Flavor.

Dough Me a Flavor has the most delicious doughnuts you will ever eat. It is at 3252 Railroad Ave., Wantagh. This great place also changes its doughnut flavors every month.

You have two options for how you want to get your doughnut. The first option is to get a pre-made doughnut. Some of the options for the pre-made doughnuts at Dough Me a Flavor are the s’mores doughnut, the bacon doughnut and the Oreo doughnut.

The second option is to make your own doughnut. Step one is to choose a base — either the old-fashioned base or the yeast base. Step two is choosing a frosting, either vanilla, chocolate or sugar glaze. Step three is choosing three toppings. Some of the toppings you can choose from are rainbow sprinkles, Oreos and chocolate chips. Your last step is to choose a drizzle. You can choose from hot fudge, caramel, peanut butter sauce and more.

Dough Me a Flavor also has forks and knives to help you eat your doughnut because that is how big the doughnuts are.

We were told they go through about 400 homemade doughnuts a day, and the most popular is the bacon doughnut.
