School rules that LI kids hate

We know schools have to have rules, otherwise things would be really crazy in school! We asked fifth-grade kids which rules they dislike. We gave them five choices, and here are our results:
Homework every night: 49
No gum during school: 14
No bringing your pet to school: 12
No music during class: 8
No running outside: 3
Do they sound familiar to you? We bet they do. As you can see, our hottest choice was homework every night. Kids think there should be no-homework nights (and no homework on the weekends too).
Wouldn’t it be fun to have a pet day in school? We bet most kids would like that day a lot.
