If you’ll be writing letters to your child at sleepaway camp this summer, you might want to add a splash of Disney -- the new Mail a Smile Forever stamps feature Disney Pixar characters including Flik (“A Bug’s Life”), Nemo (“Finding Nemo”), Mike Wazowski (“Monsters Inc.”) and more.
Each sheet of stamps includes these five designs:
-- Flik and Dot from “A Bug’s Life” (1998)
-- Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) and Dashiell “Dash” Parr from “The Incredibles” (2004), with “Dash” also shown running in the background
-- Nemo and Squirt from “Finding Nemo” (2003)
-- Woody, Bullseye and Jessie from “Toy Story 2” (1999)
-- Boo, Mike Wazowski, and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan from “Monsters, Inc.” (2001).
The stamps can be purchased online at usps.com/shop, by calling 1-800-STAMP-24 (1-800-782-6724) or by visiting post offices. Cost is $9 for a sheet of 20 stamps or $2.25 for a strip of five. Stamps can't be purchased individually.
A litte Disney postage-stamp trivia: The postal service first recognized Disney with a portrait of Walt Disney on stamp sold in 1968 for 6 cents.
