Easy DIY design tips to add nautical flair to jean jacket

We redesigned a jean jacket using a nautical theme. The jacket was very plain when we started, but after heading to A.C. Moore and figuring out a design, we purchased the items we needed to give it a brand new look.
We bought anchor iron-on patches for the front and back of the jacket and beach-themed buttons that we hot-glued to the buttons on the jacket and to other parts as well. We added two dangling jewels that we tied around the buttons of the front pockets and finished the jacket off by adding an anchor dangle to the back.
The jacket is still simple, yet eye-catching, because of the glitter on the buttons. Sometimes less is more. This is a great jacket to wear with a cute romper to a party or to the beach.
