'Dora and Friends' debuts on Nickelodeon
Dora is ready for her next big adventure. "Dora and Friends: Into the City!" will premiere Monday at 8 p.m. on Nickelodeon.
The half-hour series features Dora living in a city, attending school and hanging out with her group of friends, giving back to the community. The series will regularly air weekdays at noon during the preschool block on Nickelodeon. Set in the fictional city of Playa Verde, Dora and her friends go on many adventures, from rescuing a lost stuffed monkey for a little boy in a hospital to returning a ring to an ancient Mayan princess. Dora uses Map App on her smartphone and a magical charm bracelet to help navigate the city. Her new friends include Kate, Naiya, Emma, Alana and Pablo.
In the premiere episode, "Doggie Day," Dora wants to shoot a video to help her friend Alana promote the animal shelter's Doggie Adoption Day. When Dora points her video camera at one of the shelter's dogs, he magically starts singing a song about being separated from his brothers. The adventure begins as Dora and her friends set out to reunite the dog with his family.
After "Dora and Friends" be sure to stay tuned for a new "PAW Patrol" episode at 8:30 p.m., when the pups seek out pirate treasure.
