Families can see “The Emoji Movie” and raise money to help foster children at the same time at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Ronkonkoma Regal Movie Theatres (565 Portion Rd.).

Local realtor Bryan Karp and his family rented two of the venue’s theaters. In return for seeing the movie and enjoying included concessions, they are asking for donations of any amount for the #kidscantwait initiative of Hope For Youth, an Amityville-based nonprofit agency helping children and families on Long Island. “If you can afford a dollar, give a dollar, if you can afford 20, give 20,” Karp says. They will also be accepting unopened packages of socks, underwear and bras for children ages 3 to 18.
