Has your teen taught you any surprising life lesson?
A publishing company wants to hear your story for consideration in a planned book called, appropriately, “Lessons From My Teenager.” It’s tentatively scheduled to be published in October.
“We know that you have been impressed, that you’ve been taught, as much as you hate to admit it, by the teenagers you either live with, work with, or bump into on the sidewalk,” says a press release from Familius soliciting essays. “Lessons From My Teenager is a tremendous opportunity to celebrate the life lessons teenagers around us teach every day. Sometimes we spend so much time lecturing we fail to see what their life and their experiences provide for us.”
Submissions can also be something the writer learned when he or she was a teen.
Story length limit is 1,000 words. Selected writers will not be paid.
