Father's Day crafts for kids: Rocks, Paper, Scissors Dice

If you're looking for a creative Father's Day gift for Dad, or if your kids want to create something together with him, you may want to check out the new book "Made by Dad: 67 Blueprints for Making Cool Stuff," by Scott Bedford (Workman; $18.95). Here's an easy dice game that's fun for the whole family.
2. Cut it out using a craft knife, score the fold lines and then fold it into a cube.
3. Use scissors to cut six 2 5/8” (67 mm) squares from the transparency film.
4. Glue them along the inside edges of each cube panel.
5. Apply glue to the paper tabs on the cube and join the sides. Glue all the sides together except for side A. The cube should look like a box with an open lid.
6. Follow the cutting plan to make a smaller cube from blue cardstock.
7. Use the black marker to draw rock, paper, and scissors symbols (two of each) onto the sides of both cubes.
8. Place the small cube inside the large cube.
9. Apply glue to the remaining visible paper tabs of the large cube. Close the lid and let dry. Then choose a color, red or blue, and roll the dice to see who wins!
Remember: Rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper and paper beats rock. The symbols will dictate the winner and loser.
