Feeding the kids: After-school snacks

In my ongoing quest to find tasty, kid-friendly meals for you that are healthy and appropriate for the whole family, this week I chose a fun, Halloween-inspired after-school snack. I found the recipe in "Little Aliens Cookbook," by Zac Williams (Gibbs Smith; $14.99).
2. Using clean scissors, cut the flatbread rounds into flying saucer and alien shapes. Discard leftover bread. Place shapes on baking sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until light brown. Remove from oven and let cool.
3. Mix mashed avocado with lemon juice, taco seasoning and sour cream. Spread avocado mixture over each flatbread shape and top with cheese, tomatoes and olives.
