In my ongoing quest to find tasty kid-friendly meals for you that are healthy and appropriate for the whole family, this week I tried making homemade pizza. I found the recipe in "Time for Dinner: Strategies, Inspiration and Recipes for Family Meals Every Night of the Week," by Pilar Guzman, Jenny Rosenstrach and Alanna Stang (Chronicle Books; $24.95).

THE DISH: Please-Everyone Pizzas

MY TAKE: I added some of the mozzarella cheese to the section with the zucchini and leftover turkey meatballs to the other sections. You can also try to using whole-wheat dough, as well.

KID TESTED: While my 15-month-old daughter, Maggie, avoided the extra crunchy pieces, she loved the pizza, even the zucchini.
