Randi Zuckerberg is the former marketing director of Facebook, and the sister of its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, which is why the topic of her latest venture -- a children's book -- may surprise you.

In Zuckerberg's writing debut, entitled "Dot," she tells the story a little girl who is way too obsessed with social media and technology. Dot may love tapping on her tablet, but by book's end, the tech-savvy tot learns to trade in her devices for some outdoor play and imagination.

While the book may seem a little unsual considering Zuckerberg's credentials, the lesson is one today's kids (and parents) can really relate to. It's a fun and subtle way to remind kids that it's important to balance digital games with other types of play.

"Dot" (HarperCollins Children’s Books, $17.99) is appropriate for kids ages 4 to 8 and is available now.
