‘Giant Peach’ performance in Oakdale for kids with special needs

The performance of Roald Dahl’s “James and the Giant Peach” scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, in the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre at the CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale will be a sensory-friendly performance for kids with special needs.
The house lights will remain on through the performance, and the volume will be reduced. A sensory area in the lobby will be available for children who need to take a break from the show. Coloring sheets will be provided. The performance will run about 60 minutes without any intermission. Children will be free to sing, talk and vocalize as they wish. Snacks will be allowed in the theater.
