I recently visited the Crazy Crepe Cafe in Lake Ronkonkoma. It was amazing. It has a casual and relaxed atmosphere and a section with a comfy couch and board games for hanging out.

Crazy Crepe Cafe offers three categories of crepes; breakfast, savory (lunch and dinner), and sweet. My grandparents and I tried three savory crepes. The Thanksgiving, the Spinach, and the Grilled Cheese crepes. All savory crepes come with a side salad or for a dollar more you can choose either a soup or a side of mac and cheese. We also tried the signature sweet crepe, the Crazy Crepe. This was my favorite. It is a freshly made crepe spread with melted Nutella, fresh strawberries and bananas served with a huge helping of whipped cream. Yummy.

Although Crazy Crepe’s main menu item is, of course, crepes, they do have a number of other selections from homemade waffles to wraps, soup and salads. They also have a large selection of smoothies. I like that they offer a fundraising program that gives a 20 percent donation of all sales back to the community.

I would definitely recommend the Crazy Crepe Cafe for a light meal or dessert and as a great spot for a Mother’s Day breakfast or brunch. I can’t wait to go back.

For more information on the items listed, their menu, and locations go to crazycrepecafe.com. There are three other locations: Mount Sinai, Selden and Smithtown.
