Fall is here, and to get you in the spirit is Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns. For the seventh year in a row, Old Westbury Gardens is hosting this fun event.

Imagine looking around on a dark night and seeing pumpkins in all shapes and sizes lighting up the path. In Old Westbury Gardens there are thousands of hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns arranged on a walking path, creating a mystical and seasonal feeling. In past years many jack-o’-lanterns featured carvings of princesses, monsters, video games, ghosts, dinosaurs, lifelike jack-o’-lanterns and more. Every year they create new ideas that will sure knock your socks off.

The Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns is a safe, fun experience that you will always remember. “Great place for all ages,” classmate Stephanie Russo said.

Classmate Ryan Van Seed added, “The artistry that goes into this is off the charts.”

If you are interested in seeing behind the scenes when you arrive or leave you can see the sculptors making jack-o’-lanterns and ask them as many questions as you want! After that you might be inspired to carve your own pumpkins for the season.
