Here comes Hanukkah -- the first night is Tuesday. But parties kick off Sunday across the Island. Here are some places to celebrate:

Latkes, doughnuts and a concert with Janice Buckner and Friends are on the agenda for the Hanukkah Family Day from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Suffolk Y JCC, 74 Hauppauge Rd., Commack. Free. 631-462-9800, ext. 120; suffolkyjcc.org.

The Huntington Hanukkah Happening features a sing-along, kids' crafts, teen fun, dancing and more, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Huntington Jewish Center, 510 Park Ave., Huntington. Free, with refreshments for sale. 631-427-1157; hjcny.org.

B'nai Israel Reform Temple's Hanukkah Party features WonderPuppets, cupcakes, latkes and more from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at 67 Oakdale-Bohemia Rd., Oakdale. $10 per person. 631-563-1660; bnai-israel.org.

Live DJ entertainment, menorah lighting, face painting, holiday vendors, refreshments and more are on tap at the Community Hanukkah Celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Barry and Florence Friedberg JCC, 15 Neil Ct., Oceanside. $18 per family of four, $6 each additional person. 516-634-4165; friedbergjcc.org.

Bake and decorate Hanukkah cookies, enjoy crafts, storytime and a sing-along at the Central Synagogue of Nassau County's Hanukkah Party, noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at 430 DeMott Ave., Rockville Centre. Free, but reservations preferred. 516-766-4300; centralsy.org.
