Every year in the winter, International Day is an exciting day for everyone in Troop 744. International Day is a day when our troop, along with other Daisy, Brownie and Junior troops learn about different countries. Each troop is assigned a different country and that troop has to make a traditional food from that country.

International Day every year is at Centereach Fire Department. Girl Scouts are given a passport book so that when they walk around, every Girl Scout troop can give them a sticker or stamp to put in their books. It’s a lot of fun because I get to walk around and learn so many cool and interesting facts about different countries. Also, the food I get to sample is really good. Some troops even have them perform a special dance or song from that country. International Day is a great experience because at the end of the day I have so many stickers and stamps in my passport book and I have learned about other countries. I hope you become a Girl or Boy Scout because there are so many opportunities and places to go.
