New mom Jamie-Lynn Sigler and her longtime friend Holly Freeman, co-founders of CJ Free Jewelry, partnered with Baby2Baby to create a limited edition bracelet to benefit the nonprofit organization that provides low income families in the Los Angeles area with all the basic necessities that every child deserves.

"The Sopranos" star, 33, opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about her charitable collaboration, her 14-month-old son Beau who is “the most delicious human on the planet,” and the “overwhelming bliss” of motherhood.

Q. Tell us about teaming up with CJ Free to benefit Baby2Baby.

“I’ve always been inspired by Baby2Baby and was thrilled when they wanted to collaborate with us. Their mission is vital to our community, and to think that we could even be a small part of that is wonderful. Giving back has been of paramount importance to us since the inception of CJ Free, and continuing on this path with Baby2Baby is both exciting and rewarding.”

Q. What inspired you to get involved with this cause?

“When I became a mother, Baby2Baby’s work impacted me all the more, and I knew I had to get involved. As a mom, I feel connected to other mothers and their children. How could you not want to reach out and help?”

Q. Congratulations on baby Beau! How is he doing? What is he into these days? What does he do to make you laugh?

“Thank you! He is quite an amazing walking, talking machine. Beau is the most delicious human on the planet to me, and every single thing he does makes me laugh (except throwing his food on the floor). He knows he entertains me and thrives on it.”

Q. How has the first year of motherhood been? What are some of the greatest rewards of motherhood? Biggest challenges?

“This has been the most wonderful, trying year of my life. I’ve been faced with the ultimate test in patience, love, operating on no sleep, multi-tasking, and being present. It’s not about me anymore – at all – and that’s OK. Although I’ve had many meltdowns this year, I’ve enjoyed even more moments of overwhelming bliss and gratitude that I never thought possible. Through it all, I’ve also come to learn how vital it is to preserve and cultivate my individual identity. To me, this is the key to being a happy and fulfilled wife, daughter, friend, and woman. CJ Free is my creative outlet, and it’s been vital to my sanity, especially through this first year of motherhood. You have to have a little something outside of being a mommy – even if it’s just 30 minutes a day.”

Q. What’s up next for you?

“I’ve taken a break from acting since having Beau. [Husband] Cutter [Dykstra, a minor-league baseball player] travels half of the year ... and it was important for us to stay together as a family. I hope acting welcomes me back when I’m ready, but right now, I’m not. Working on CJ Free with my dear friend Holly is a job in itself that keeps me very busy. Soon, I’ll learn how to juggle it all, I hope! I’ve accepted that life is always a work in progress.”
