Actress Goldie Hawn has written a parenting book with author Wendy Holden called "10 Mindful Minutes: Giving Our Children -- and Ourselves -- the Social and Emotional Skills to Reduce Stress and Anxiety for Healthier, Happier Lives" (Perigree, $24). It promises to help parents "tune in" to their children's wavelength and teach kids to practice empathy.

Actress Soleil Moon Frye has penned "Happy Chaos: From Punky to Parenting and My Perfectly Imperfect Adventures in Between" (Dutton, $19.95). Frye starred in the NBC sitcom "Punky Brewster" in the mid-1980s and in "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch." She has two daughters. According to the book jacket, "When you can accept that as a parent you'll make mistakes and there will be messes and mishaps, tears and tantrums, you and your kids will be happy." She calls her book "part memoir, part manual."
