Here comes your dinner! A plate filled with choices.

Some of the food on your plate you like a lot and other things not as much. What do you do? Do you eat your favorite food first or last? I asked kids in grades one to six that question, and here are my results:

Favorite food first: 52%

Favorite food last: 48%

More kids eat their favorite food first. Other kids eat their least favorite food first because they don’t always like the food on their plates. They eat their least favorite food first so they can get rid of it.

I interviewed two people in my class. Abby said she eats her favorite food first because she keeps the taste of her favorite food, and then she eats the food she doesn’t like.

Then some kids like to eat their favorite food last so they can enjoy it and don’t have to eat the food they don’t like afterward. I always eat my least favorite food first!
