We recently interviewed New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia.
I grew up in California, so I'm an Oakland Raider fan. Don't tell anybody, but I'm a Laker fan. But I was rooting for the Knicks the other night.
It was an easy choice, honestly. New York is fun to play in, you have a chance to win the World Series every year. So it made it a lot easier to make a decision.
Play video games. Hang out with my family. We do a lot of different stuff. I like to bowl and go fishing.
Yes. My mom was tough on me about school, so if I didn't have a 3.5 or higher in grades I couldn't play any sports. So if I wasn't playing football, basketball or baseball, I was in my house doing schoolwork.
My favorite pitch, fastball. Number one.
I had two. Dave Stewart and Ken Griffey Jr. Those were my two favorite players.
It was the number when I first got to Cleveland. It was the number that they gave me. So I just stuck with it, I liked it. Nobody else has 52. So it was kind of unique.
You know, I can't do anything sports-wise right-handed, but I write right-handed. I guess I kick the ball right-footed.
My favorite stadium is Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. It's got the waterfalls. It's a great place to play. My least favorite -- I don't know if I have a least favorite. They're all pretty cool. I'm just lucky I get a chance to play in them.
I wanted to be a teacher in my high school. Maybe a coach. I want to be a coach some day. Get a chance to coach one of my kids. I think that would be a lot of fun.
Pizza.
I did. My dad took me to A's games. So I enjoyed being at the ballpark. It was something I wanted to do when I got older.
